Friday, 9 January 2015 facebook/EnjoyGodIncorporated SECURED IN GOD Nahum 1:7 ISV The LORD is good— a refuge in troubled times. He knows those who are confiding in him. In the previous verses, we see how Awesome the Lord is in His fury against the evil. In verse 3, the Lord is seen as one who never let the guilty go unpunished, and goes further to detail the kind of punishments which comes upon them. The wrath of God on humanity is unbearable, no one can stand against it. After all these, we are admonished to understand that the Lord is good – and is a refuge in troubled times. Even in His anger, He still expresses His love. The person who can experience security throughout all the calamities that may come about is the one who has placed his confidence in the Lord, and is abiding in Him. When the perilous times comes, the Lord knows those who have actually made Him their source of refuge and will be to them as such. Beloved, how do you see our God? Is He your everything in all you do, or your confidence is in other things. Life may not be pleasing but still put your trust in Him. He will never let you down. NB: The goodness of the Lord extends to them that have placed their whole confidence in Him.
