Friday Fun Day Whanau 600 Likes!! What the heck? Thank you all!!! To repay you all we thought we would profile our Heart Check work, the person here at Te Awakairangi Health Network tasked with this work (Mr Chris Polaczuk) and some of our Hutt Valley Practices. Chris combined with the amazing GP Practice: Drs, Nurses and Admin staff are responsible for getting 30,000 of our Hutt Valley friends, families, loved ones, work mates, whanau etc . . . to Get a Heart Check By completing the heart checks we saw many people identified and treated for things they would not have even known about. The benefits of this prevention strategy are becoming evident now as we are seeing a more health conscious Hutt Valley people participating in and leading: triathlons, community walking groups, fun runs, healthy cooking classes, Pacific projects, gyms popping up everywhere and so on.
