Friday Morning update: Jan is doing better. Had some issues as stated earlier this week. Here numbers showed some blasts again. Also, new nodules and now spots on the liver. Had a little bout with Pulmonary embolisms in the lungs on Tuesday which is really why this post was delayed. Did not want to give any unknown/inaccurate info. Blood counts are great in-spite. Platlets are 497 White blood cell count at 5 The RBC is still a little low along with potassium (Caused from the diuretics) but the neutrophils are up to 3.5 (Great for fighting off infection) She is still on the antibiotics and some potassium bags. Wednesday they started her on Heparin to combat the blood clots in the lungs. She also was tested on Wednesday for blood clots in her legs and arm, all of which was negative. This morning she is going to get a MRI for the liver to figure out what the spots are, and will be also going to IR (International Radiation) at 9:30 am for a CT scan and biopsy of the lungs to get a piece of a Nodule for testing Probably wont get the results back on that for awhile, but hopefully will hear back about the liver results soon. (Maybe biopsy on the liver next, who knows?) As for the blast being back, there where 6% on Tuesday, 4% on Wednesday, and 2% on Thursday. The doctor says that since the numbers are actually going down it may mean that the bone marrow might be just releasing the last of the blasts. Sort of a purging They said not to worry.
