Friends and family .... please. I know that not everyone has been involved in my weight loss trials and tribulations. I know that not everyone is aware of the INSANE amount of research Ive done on weight loss surgery. BELIEVE me when I say that I could very easily assist my surgeon with my own surgery if I needed to. I know as much about the risks, past failures, and the advances theyve made in the years since the lap band came out on the market. The surgery Ive selected is the safest, least invasive, and the ONLY one that can be reversed in the case of medical necessity. PLEASE. Be supportive and positive. If you cant do this, then I will ask you to remove me from your list. Since I posted my surgery date yesterday, Ive received no fewer than 10 private messages detailing the negative side of my surgery. What you guys dont know is that I have found 10 positive stories for every 1 negative story that each of you have told me about. Further more, I have 3 friends and an aunt who have already been through a similar surgery, and EVERY ONE of them is seeing positive results. Also, each one has said that the key to success is my dedication to the lifestyle change that comes with the surgery. The BIGGEST changes I have in front of me ... more of the walking and exercise that Im already doing, no more booze (for at least 2 years), and reduced caffeine. The ONLY part of this that may kill me is the 2 weeks of no coffee thing. Any further nay saying on MY decision for MY body will be a deal breaker for me. This is your only warning.
