Friends, please tell your Friends -- my new writing workshop, THE INNER WORLD OF WRITING, starts February 2nd. Im excited! Check it out: THE INNER WORLD OF WRITING This workshop provides a safe, creatively exciting place for writers to confront -- and overcome -- the psychological obstacles that can stunt any writer’s creativity: anxiety, self-criticism, loss of purpose, fear of failure, competitive frustration, disorganization, procrastination. You will be encouraged to share your personal concerns with an engaged group of respectful peers. The workshop also focuses on 4 key skills that will nurture your creativity: Work Habits - how to find a work rhythm that’s natural for you Self-Talk - how to turn your Inner Critic into a collaborator Feedback - how to thrive on criticism (not be traumatized by it) Freedom - how to be true to your own unique imagination Writers of every prose genre are welcome: playwriting, fiction, and nonfiction (any narrative form, such as memoir, biography, family history). Group time is managed VERY carefully, guaranteeing each person equal time to speak and guaranteeing that each weeks topic and exercises are fully covered and understood. This workshop meets on Mondays, 7-10 pm at Studios 353 (353 W. 48th St. NYC): February 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd March 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd Cost: $250 for the eight-week workshop.
