Friends, today at 7:00 am central time marks the 1 year anniversary of the final load Rose hauled with her red 2000 international 9900ix. Rose loved to drive and she had a gift for working with people. Brokers, shippers, receivers, lumpers, other drivers, everyone enjoyed working with the lady with the big hat and big smile which became her trademark. Her customers appreciated her skills, work ethics and keen business sense. Rose logged over 1 million accident free miles during her 13 years as an owner operator. I gave her the Roadside cell phone mechanic award, she was able to repair most problems herself with a little coaching on the phone. She was always going out of her way to help other drivers back in tight spots, opening and closing trailer doors, shagging trailers, and much more. Rose passed away just 27 days after safely delivering her final load. Over the next few weeks I will be celebrating the life and legacy of this very dear and special person. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and hard working business partner as well as my soulmate. I miss her very much every minute of every day.
