Friends who garden/love being outside. This is legit. From Elk River, MN, a hatch ling Massasauga Rattlesnake was found. This is quite unusual. As always be vigilant in the garden, and while the rattlesnake shouldnt be feared, (it will give you plenty of warning) if you come across one, contact the U of M extension or local animal control. This is out of the normal range of these Rattlers. And the fact that it is a little one...well, that lends logic to the fact that breeding in this range may be occurring.
