Friend’s Grief Windows cried tonight. Rain traced down empty panes, Glass fogged with tears. I thought of you. Winds cried tonight. Rain pelted at black coats, Skies darkened with tears. I thought of you. Streets cried tonight. Rain overwhelmed deep cracks, Puddles brimmed with tears. I thought of you. Trees cried tonight. Rain rolled from bending leaves, Ground flooded with tears. I thought of you. Benches cried tonight. Rain weakened empty seats, Paint chipped with tears. I thought of you. My heart cried tonight.
