From Craig and Richard: We have the pleasure of the company of David Morgan, Executive Director of Wild Welfare (and former President of the Pan African Zoo and Aquaria Association), accompanied by Dr. Julia Gräfin Maltzan, wildlife veterinarian, president of the ‘Academy for the protection of zoo animals and wildlife’ azws.de In Abidjan as zoo consultant in cooperation with WildWelfare, and Jeanne Marie Pittman, CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician), Country Coordinator West African Primate Conservation Action. Julia brought with her a blowpipe for anaesthetising animals, and here are a few photos of her giving some training to our own (volunteer) Zoo vet in the Abidjan Zoo.
