From Germantown Police Chief Peter Hoell: I am forwarding this on behalf of the Germantown Police Department. You may want to share this with your co-workers and clients who are residents in this area. Crime Alert Attempted Burglary to Occupied Residence. Date: 08/14/2013 The Germantown Police Department is investigating 2 incidents of attempted break in/entries to residences that occurred on 08/14/2013 at approximately 1am. These incidents occurred in the neighborhood of the northwest corner of Donges Bay Rd and STH 145. The first involved an unlocked rear patio door of an occupied residence. A family member observed the suspect very briefly before he fled on foot. The second was a residence directly behind the first where noises were heard as if someone was trying to open the doors and a window screen was removed from it frame. A description obtained of an unknown black/male 20-40 years of age, dark complexion, tall (over 6 ft), average build, large eyes, unknown clothing other than something white near the shirt area.
