It is hard to believe it’s already October. Fall is here and time is moving fast. Yet there is still another month to this long third phase of the year. It is still time to awaken opportunity and to inspire enchantment in our lives and in the world around us. With the flurry of chaos wildly churning and with the threats and consequences of violence growing more intense, it seems frustrating as well as difficult to awaken or to inspire. GRATITUDE ANCHORS AND ROOTS YOUR WELL CRAFTED HOPES AND IT FORGES NEW HOPES THAT LIFT AND REACH BEYOND YOUR CURRENT HORIZONS . . . (Lazaris) In response to my frustrations, I turn to gratitude. It can anchor me in the storms of chaos. My hopes can be lifted beyond the current crises in the world. My hopes and new hopes can reach beyond the current tragedies and traumas to touch something beyond, something more, and something that can be grand. GRATITUDE INSPIRES NEW DREAMS AND VISIONS, LOFTY DREAMS AND VISIONS THAT CREATE NEW HORIZONS WITH NEW CHALLENGES AND NEW OPPORTUNITIES . . . (Lazaris) I look to challenge my strengths and powers — to active my power and strength and to stretch them, to lift them, beyond their current boundaries. How do I do that? I work with imagination. I know my strengths. I image that I am stronger. I know my power; I imagine that I am more powerful. As I challenge myself, opportunities do awaken. I find more ways to work my magic and to be successful with my magical workings. LIFT AND REACH. SEEK THE NEW WITH GRATITUDE AS YOUR COMPANION AND YOUR GUIDE. (Lazaris) During these troubling and confusing times, during this month of October when caution is so important, I work with the quotation for October. In addition, Lazaris offers two specific suggestions. He points out that this is a time to work with expanding our Success Cube, and a time to work with expanding our image. There is a wonderful recording, “Reaching for the Stars,” and it has a beautiful meditation where we align with our Siriun Self and our Future Self as we stand on top of our Success Cube. I did that meditation last week. I had forgotten how powerful and beautiful it was. So I am working with changing the dimensions of my Cube. I am adding length and width, but mostly I am adding depth. There are dimensions beyond space-time. There are dimensions of imagination, creativity, and energy. Lazaris often points out that it’s difficult to grasp imagination as a dimension or to grasp creativity and energy as dimensions. Difficult or not, we can approach these dimensions undaunted because our Higher Self and Soul understand them. Our success understands and responds to them. I think by expanding my Cube and adding the transcendent dimensions of imagination, creativity, and energy to that Cube is a way to reach beyond my current horizons to image a world that is new. What do you think? The other specific suggestion is to work with healing. These four months are a time for healing, not of fixing, but for healing. With this suggestion, Lazaris encourages us to works with healing ourselves, and then to move beyond ourselves. We can pick four healing projects, and we can work our magic. He suggests we chronicle our work with details of action and of feeling. We should note the impact of our magic. If you choose this focus for October, you might want to stream the recording, “ Global Magic: The Next Level of the Great Work.” Working with the Ebola Outbreak is one area for my healing work. I am also going to work my magic around the entire ISIL situation and around our involvement. During the growing chaos and with the growing threat of “boots on the ground” in Syria and Iraq, it is surely a time to be cautious. It is definitely a time for us as masterful magicians to raise our voices and to metaphorically be heard. Where does this work fit? I consider it a part of awakening opportunity . . . opportunity to do things differently . . . and a part of inspiring enchantment . . . we pretend to be separate, but we are not. October is a busy time in the world. I wrote about my urge to be quiet now. In that quiet, I am busy with my magic. Enrique and I are entering a different kind of quiet this month. Next week we are going on a barge cruise with five other people. We will be floating down a river in southern France for seven days with little or no internet connection. In the quiet, we will be very engaged in the world. I will be keeping a journal of that trip. Shortly after returning home, we will be heading to Los Angeles for the Culminating Evening and Weekend, “Setting a New World in Motion.” I am excited. Oh, heres the full quotations for October . . .
