From Jacob B Groby III - Councilman District 7 As you might imagine, the recent disclosure of the proposed exploration project within my Council District has caused many citizens to become concerned. Many have asked for a public meeting to discuss the proposed project for which I have set following date and time for the meeting. I will be hosting an informational meeting with my constituents on Monday May 12th. 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Castine Center in Mandeville, LA. Invited speakers are Helis Oil Foundation to explain the plans for the planned exploration of the Tuscaloosa Shale via fracking methodology. Ms. Wilma Subra of the Subra Company to speak on the concerns that citizens have on fracking methodology. A short presentation on the Southern Hill Aquifer will be presented as well. The floor will then be opened for questions from the citizens in a “Speaker Card Format” venue.
