From MHRS - NOT TO BE MISSED! - Do you own/run a business that is on the cusp of the Manukau Harbour, no matter how big or small? ... then this FREE meeting is for you. The MHRS/AUT study is now complete & results show that businesses around the Harbour are not using online marketing tools to their best advantage compared to other areas in Auckland. The researchers have identified the recreation and tourism attractions, businesses and services associated with the Manukau Harbour. Those activities have been mapped using Google maps, which will allow visitors and residents to find out about things to do and businesses and services available around the harbour. The researchers have also completed a web audit, assessing the online information available to visitors and harbour users. At the research presentations researchers will summarise their findings in these areas, as well as leading discussion about uses of the harbour and sharing tips for businesses and communities wanting to improve their web presence. We believe the findings presented by the NZTRI will be of great value to our communities and businesses around the harbour. We have attached a flyer about the research presentations and would appreciate it if you would distribute this to your resident and business networks. (A third presentation will be held in the Onehunga area in April and we will notify you when this has been scheduled.) The next phase of the research study is now underway: a survey of harbour residents and visitors. If you haven’t already done so, we would be pleased if you could complete the survey at manukauharboursurvey.co.nz/ and ask local residents and visitors to do so as well. The Society has initiated this research study and commissioned NZTRI at AUT University to complete it. The study is only possible due to the funding and support of the nine Local Boards that surround the harbour, making up the Manukau Harbour Forum. We look forward to seeing you at one of the upcoming research presentations.
