From Micah David Naziri: This is important to watch. Hamas is bad and endangers everyone, Gazan and Israeli. But consider the following points, before you think that this ACTUALLY justifies the wanton killing of civilians in Gaza: 1. These guys would be LONG gone before IDF pilots would make it there. Bombing the area after the fact is moronic and simply collective punishment. 2. All of Gaza is residential. Youre talking about a place half the size of L.A. If you had people firing from L.A. where wouldnt be residential? 3. The reporter here acknowledges that this is how they fire without detection. That means that the IDF is NOT bombing them when they do this. The IDF are bombing targets given to them long before they drop the bombs. So once again, this is a case of argumentation that doesnt fit what is actually happening. The implied argument is that Israel would be justified in firing on them IF they witnessed this, but the entire premise of this is that they are not being witnessed and that they are long gone after the IDF arrives. Thats like someone shooting from a Walmart, the cops coming and dropping C4 on the Walmart after the culprits have left.
