From: Revelation 5:1-14 The book of God was perfectly sealed with seven seals; its contents were undisclosed, and may only be looked upon and opened by the One Who is worthy. (Consider. all seven of the seals had to be opened/removed before the book itself could be opened!) God’s book is His perfect plan and purpose in terms of Christ and His church. Hence, one God-King, one book, one kingdom, one law. It was in His right hand, signifying His authority and infallible determination. The plan and purpose of God was yet to be revealed and executed. John was deeply distraught at the prospect that no one was worthy to open the book. An elder (who had experienced redemption) came and announced to John that he need not be distraught, because the Lion of the tribe of Judah (Jesus), the root of David (Jesus), had prevailed to open the book and loose the seals. John, then, saw a Lamb as though it had been slain (His death for the atonement of humankind) having seven horns (perfect authority) and seven eyes (omniscience and wisdom to enact on behalf of the will of the Father), being filled with the Holy Spirit Who administers the will of the Father through Jesus in all the earth. So, Jesus, the Worthy One, took the book from the hand of the Father (cf 1:1). This is the ascended Christ’s coronation; he is the Victor (over Satan and sin and death) and Ruler (the reward of His redemptive work, the fulfilment of God’s eternal decree: Psalm 2) over all the earth. The universal celebration at Christ’s coronation. Worship, prayers, thanksgiving, praise and song, as one voice, by the angles, Cherubim, elders and the multitude of the redeemed [“(ten thousand times ten thousand, and) thousands of thousands”: the number 10,000 (cf Jude 14) = 10 x 10 x 10 x 10, signifying completeness after every aspect of consideration, for not one shall be left out of His elect, who hold no national significance], who reigned as a kingdom of priests with the Lamb -- in heaven (see comments: for 3:20 & 4:1-3) -- and over the earth (vs. 10). The order of worship went out from those closest to the throne, permeating through to the lowest layer of the earth. Every creature, in subordination to Christ -- that is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth and in the sea worshipped Him Who received the book; He Who lives to the ages of ages.
