From Sarah Smiley: Sometimes, events that affect us the most have a difficult time finding their way to the page. It’s been a week since Dustin and I were invited to the Commandant of the Marine Corps General Amos’ house to welcome First Sea Lord, Sir George Zambellas, from the UK and to watch an evening parade at “8th and I,” the “Oldest Post of the Corps.” Even after seven days and driving 600 miles from Washington, D.C., to Maine, I am still profoundly moved by what I experienced.
