From Stanley Homecoming July 1974 and 1969. Here are a few great pics from back in the day. On the left is me at 17 standing in front of Als Place waiting for the parade to start. Notice those Hot Red pants Mom had bought me from mr sanfords..yeah that will get me a girlfriend for sure..Little did I know at the time but my wife and soul mate of 26 years is sitting on the curb across the street in front of Atkins Grocery.with her family.although she was only five yrs old at the time its amazing how things like that work out..In the other picture is my old friend Gary Painter who is escorting uncle Jake Nauman and George hooker Good with their bridesmaids Clersey Ore and Della Taylor...This little skit entry was devised by none other than Aldine Painter who loved cutting up and having fun with Mr George as well uncle Jake...If you look closely you can see where uncle jake who is sitting in the front on the right has just thrown a piece of Bazooka bubble gum at a parade spectator...also dont forget Lil Mazey standing to the side with his trusty camera....the sign says courtesy of Painters Restraunt....I sure do miss those days..as they were some of the best days of my life....
