From Steve McAdams- Jean and I received a call last night to let us know that the newfoundland world has lost a great friend. Bob Quandt, who was a very giving, kind, caring, and gentle soul passed away on October 15. Bob, who was 91, and his dear wife, Jean, have been involved with newts and the newfoundland world for many, many decades. Bob was a true gentleman with a heart of gold. He always had a bright smile and a good word to say to everyone. He genuinely made life brighter and more fun for everyone he was around. Bob Quandt epitomized the true spirit of our gentle giants. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by so many of us. Rest well our dear friend.
