From Suzanne Cleary to Colleen Geraghty: Dear Colleen, What a sense of accomplishment you must feel after this weekends wonderful conference A Celebration of Womens Voices: Past and Present, which included the excellent A SLANT OF LIGHT reading! I am certain that, along with the sense of accomplishment, you must also feel a bit (!) of fatigue, but I hope that you are energized by knowing what you and your marvelous team was able to do: you brought together and inspired fabulous and talented women, who made connections that will last for a long, long time. I am so proud to have been part of this conference. Teaching my poetry workshop Prom Dresses and Hiking Boots: Womens Clothing as Source for Poems was a joy, and I am delighted that the participants in my workshop enjoyed the experience. There was a fantastic energy in that room, I thought. And I was honored to read in the anthology reading that night. It was a full, rich day. I would be very happy to work with you in the future. I can teach a variety of poetry workshops, as well as present other poetry and/or creativity talks. I am not on Facebook, which you mention in your e-mail, but please know that I will sing the praises of you and your fine work, far and wide. When I get my webpage redesigned, I will include a link to the conference and Historic Huguenot Street. I wish you continued joy in your good work. Warm regards, Suzanne Vega
