From Tammy Shockley for her Cambridge MD project. If you are close, please help. As we approach the upcoming days celebrating gratefulness and giving, (on behalf of Meant To Be, A Pregnancy and Family Resource Center) I need to enlist your help. Our center has stepped up to the plate and helped three clients avoid being homeless over the past month. Two of our clients have been helped with finding work and new, safe homes. The third was found a room in the home a wonderful, Christian family. Did I mention that all three clients are 5-7 months pregnant? Scary shoes to walk in. How can you help? Well, I have developed a great relationship with a local landlord. He has agreed to let me in the house on Saturday and Monday to hang curtains and blinds and try to furnish the house. However, we dont have much to work with. We are in need of blinds, curtains, dishes, pots and pans, silverware, glasses, living room furniture, a frame for a queen mattress and box springs, sheets and blankets and comforters for a queen bed, pillows, wall decorations, bathroom rugs and towels and accessories, a welcome mat, porch furniture of anyone has it, baby boy crib set (hoping for a Cars theme), table and chairs, candles, etc... This is all a part of the Titus Project. Its goal is to reboot our community. It teaches work ethic, pride of life and the joy of success. We have seen so much success already but this week has been phenomenal. Please, look around your home. Keep your ears open. If you have anything that needs to find a new home, I have just the one!
