From The Gascoyne To The Goldfields...Carnarvons very own local talent his heading to Kalgoorlie tomorrow for Australias Regional Arts Summit - ARTS & EDGES! Pundara is the Yinggarda word for ‘star’ and is Carnarvon’s very own Indigenous contemporary dance troupe. Salvaging song lines and reinventing ancient stories, they perform contemporary indigenous dance set with projections of wild land and seascapes of the Gascoyne. Gascoyne Circus and Physical Theatre; A world of flying whale sharks, flamethrowing firefighters, trapeze stairways to the moon and creatures that dance in your dreams. Layering time, history, movement, earth, water and architecture these incredibly skilled performers create a timeless and powerful landscape set between the bright night sky and the outback’s vast horizons.
