From childhood, I have always known these are the most profoundly moving speeches ever. We dont have Lincoln on tape, but we can hear MLK over & over until we finally get it. Listening Beyond Vietnam speech in particular, Its like he wrote for today, w/ comments on industry & our responsibility to make a choice. I find this also with so many philosophers I am reading. We are so incredibly lucky in that we still (barely) have time to LISTEN,THINK, & recreate ourselves as a new world- or, really, go forth into the world as it means to be. Nature & the world we struggle thru has been extremely forgiving to us humans, but how much longer can we count on that? https://beta.prx.org/stories/108860
