The suspect who was carrying a small box and a sheet of paper knocked on the front door of the residence. When the victim answered the door, the suspect told her that he had a delivery she had to sign for. When the victim opened the door to sign for the package, the suspect grabbed the victim and forced his way into the house. The suspect took the victim to a bedroom and made her stay in the room while he stole items from the house. At that time 3 black male suspects entered the house and assisted the first suspect to steal items. Suspects were in the house for approximately 10 minutes. The suspects appeared to have been driving two vehicles. It is believed that the Hispanic male suspect was driving a blue unknown model older single cab pickup truck and the black male suspects were driving a black unknown model Honda. Anyone that might have information on this offense is asked to call Bellaire Police Detective Clawson at 713-662-8106. Police remind Bellaire residents to use caution when answering their door to strangers. If you are uncomfortable opening your door to a stranger, you may call the Bellaire Police Department and an officer will be dispatched to you. Citizens are also asked to keep in mind that burglary suspects will often knock on the front door to determine if anyone is home before they break in. Citizens should not ignore a person at their door; tell them that you do not open the door for strangers and that you have called the Bellaire Police to assist them.
