From one of the comments: Her message and cause were totally lost by the loudness in her voice, angry body language and aggressivenesss. The stereotype of the angry black woman in effect; the loudness, aggressiveness and angry body language are a matter of perception, to others it is simply expression. It is poetry, it is emotional; and so, the poet will also be that way when reading it. From her poetry: “You may think it is ignorant to speak Broken English, but even articulate Americans sound foolish to the British.” In any case, a good watch and the comments are worth a read too.
