From our Executive Director, Abby Stamelman Hocky ...... A story of heroism and collective response to terror is painfully and powerfully represented on an open field in Bedford, PA -- just a few hours from Philadelphia. Camping in central PA a few weeks ago, my husband and I were profoundly moved when we "stumbled upon" the Flight 93 Memorial. Tomorrow, on this 12th Anniversary of 9/11, I am proud that we in Philadelphia, are working together across faith communities, congregations, in civic and business settings, to stand together as one. The Interfaith Center has made it impossible to stand idly by-- calling on each of us to act in ways that honor the everyday citizens and crew who were on this fateful flight --and others who fell on that day and everyday in our city, region and the world.
