From our Military veterans continuing to commit suicide at alarming rates ( Fort Hood for example has averaged 15 suicides per year the past five years, also where the man was from who recently jumped the fence at the white house who had 800 rounds of ammo at his home )... To our excess military surplus being trickled down to our small town police forces, further militarizing law enforcement against the community its sworn to serve and protect... To our endless & reckless war in the middle east that has been destabilizing governments since the CIA overthrew the prime minister of Iran in 1953, and later supported Bin Laden in a ten year war against Russia, only to see his group come back to attack us on 9/11...to arming Saddam before attacking him, twice... Then overthrowing him only to create an even more dangerous void that was filled by ISIS... To now dropping bombs in Syria and Iraq. None of this has made us safer. None of this has made Gas cheaper. None of this has brought us more freedom or prosperity. Its not about patriotism, or safety. It in fact makes us more and more unsafe over time. It creates an environment of fear and hate where the Governments of Obama, Bush, and Clinton can claim a potential terrorist threat is always a constant. Thus being able to invade our privacy and sign off on billions of dollars in defense spending, bombing and invading foreign nations. For everyone who cheerleads for bombs in Syria or Pakistan or Iraq, know that your voice only leads the way for attacks to happen again here in the United States. You are truly cheering for soldiers to come home with PTSD, to live with thoughts of suicide. You lead the way for innocent men, women, and children to be murdered in the name of corporate greed. Blood on the hands, blood on the leaves. The chickens come home to roost.
