From our bulletin front page today... PLENTY OF LIGHT "So Moses - TopicsExpress

From our bulletin front page today... PLENTY OF LIGHT "So Moses lifted his hand to the sky, and a deep darkness covered the entire land of Egypt for three days. During all that time the people could not see each other, and no one moved. But there was light as usual where the people of Israel lived." Exodus 10:22-23 When I read this passage recently, I felt the light. And it was a great comfort. All I have to do is turn on the news or talk with some of the patients in our clinic to feel the darkness. People are groping in it. They can’t see, and so they stop moving. They wallow in poverty, fear, anger, and discouragement. Families, communities, and entire countries stop going forward when darkness prevails. Yet, even in the dark times, we have hope. Because there is light as usual where the people of God live. I think we should memorize this verse and use it as an antidote to the fear Kris Palmer preached about last week. When we feel the darkness creeping in, we can just stand up and say, “Back off! There is still plenty of light where I live!” And maybe we can even grab the hand of someone else and pull them out of the darkness, too. - by Kathy Nickerson https://facebook/Mrs.KathyNickerson?fref=ts
