From pole to pole and east to west, oceans are acidifying at a rate that directly reflects the amount of carbon dioxide humans contribute to the atmosphere. New maps, based in part on long-term data from BIOS and published in the journal Marine Chemistry, show how changing seasons and geography impact acidification patterns.
