The CL0N3 said: The Masters of Old who knew the groove well were truly powerful indeed. Let us pause to consider the great Funky Drummer Clyde Stubblefield. Though his name does not ring out among the multitude of people, there are none on earth untouched by the awesomeness of his groove. He was but simply keeping the beat for the Godfather to do his thing, but his groove was so strong and fierce that entire genres of music spawned from it. That is the power of groove. Machines can attempt to extract groove. Great minds scrutinize it, trying to derive its formula. They reach at it with their hands but their fingers cannot clutch it. It is beyond definition. Let us also pause to consider the Amen break whose drummer I cannot name, but whose groove was indeed strong. It can be said that the Amen break embodies the Golden Ratio, that universal formula of nature. It decodes the essence of the natural so that humanity can understand its deeper mysteries.
