From the Directors Chair - I know a lot of folks have been recently affected by the devastating tornados throughout the country. Our own CBR members in Eastern NC are digging through war torn neighborhoods as we speak. Let me take this time to encourage you all to consider donating a small amount to a reputable organization like The American Red Cross, or even to a local Humane Society in one of the many affected areas to help with clean up and assistance. Many humane societies and animal shelters are always in need of your own sheets, blankets, comforters, bleach, copy paper, paper towels, etc. Most will accept just about any type of item to help make the animals comfortable so check out your own local shelters for what they need. Carolina Boxer Rescue would like to send out our thoughts and prayers to all of our Facebook family who are either dealing with these tragedies or have family who are. There are many families displaced at this time and even more pets who are displaced from their families. Dont forget to get your pet micro-chipped because you never know when tragedy might strike.
