From the Philosopher… WHEN A PUSH MATTERS MOST. {This article might be for you, why not check first whether the parcel is yours} I have come to understand that the failure of a car starting doesn’t mean it’d lost its auto-mobilizing locomotion potent at that meantime. Sometimes, as a driver, you want to start the vehicle, but it only screeches and wouldn’t ignite for locomotion. With constant failed attempts, one may surmise that perhaps the kick/ignition is faulty, or that the battery had drained away and lacks the desired e.m.f to cause the car to start. Most times, parameter checks narrow down to the plugs, whether they are soaked and troubleshooting other engine components. I have once been at the crossroad, standing on the frustrating coals of possibly turning up late in my schedule, without any clue to proffer solution why the car suddenly stopped or failed starting again. For most of us, one thing comes to our minds…MAYBE WITH A PUSH; THIS CAR MIGHT MOVE. My dear, believe it or not, there always comes a time when A PUSH MATTERS MOST. I have been in that crossroad stranded, and all I needed was just a hand to give me a push, so that the car might move again. Sometimes, it is even hard to seek for assistance, depending on the people you meet on the streets or on the way. Sometimes, you already got a person whose strength isn’t enough to give the required thrust, and you need just one more person to get it right. No matter how good you care for your car, there must be one disappointing time, very unexplainable moment when you won’t need the keys to ignite your engine; when all you need is a run-over push before you can fire on. Yea, it is very obvious that when a car is parked for elongated period without the battery been rejuvenated and the engine steamed; the car might turn a degenerating trend of losing its ability to move when needed to move. We all can assert that not having good tyres; good engine, and all necessary car parts in place insures locomotion… you can have all that, and the car just won’t spark up and move when occasion rises…. These are moments when a push matters most. Let me come out from the room of allegory wherein I have dwelt long and talk to us more sensibly. There are men and women that are parked up like cars till within them they experience the degenerating trend. They have been stationary for years, complete to function but not put into action. Delay and Stagnancy in a man’s life can make the man unable to function when action is expected, and if care is not taking, the person decays… for decay is the next street to delay. These are men and women that need a push to get it right; and more hands bringing synergy to work, will get a man that has been ruled out of success soaring to enviable heights. I tell you the humble truth. Many potential entrepreneurs are DECAYING from the DELAYING in their ability to procure gainful employment/empowerment to the realization of their dreams which our bad economy have kept them in stagnancy ever since they turned graduates; all they need is just a PUSH. With a caring push; an effort of encouragement which can see the person go through the unusual routine,… you might be surprise what the person would turn out to be in few successions of years. There are many potentially laden business men and women that are perishing without any penny to pioneer their dreams, because they lacked a push; and soon they deteriorate without God’s intervention. There are many stars in different fields of life, [education sector, health sector, sports, industrial sector, politics, arts and entertainment] that are not where they ought to be, but keep marking time in the wrong/absurd positions, because they lack that single push. Some keep nursing this complaint until they waste away; complaining that there is no one to help them. That reminds me a biblical story of a man that lay by the pool of Bethesda for 38years. [John 5:1-11]. When Jesus, out of compassion approached him and asked him, whether he wishes to be well…here is his answer: “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am struggling to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.” John 5:7. This is definitely not the answer to Jesus’ question, but how can you blame a man who has submerged himself to self-pity and complains for 38years. I don’t know if you have started complaining like this fellow bedridden for 38years; I don’t know whether your circumstance has earned you several names; calumny and insults…like invalid; never-do-well; vagabond; idiot; unlucky; failure..etc; and all these names were as a result that you have oftentimes struggled unsuccessfully, but would have been better had it been someone added just a push; just an added synergy was lacking, and delays in your life is suddenly dawning on you that you are decaying. I am speaking to that person that needs just a push. Watch out NEXT WEEK, HELP is coming your way. You will attract more hands; volunteers will stand by you… just like Jesus came to the man voluntarily and offered help, so shall people surround you voluntarily to offer help. Just as Jesus came to the man by the pool uninvited, so shall you not beg for help anymore… Come next week, HELP SHALL COME UNIVITED from several quarters, and I see you getting up from that position, I see you moving again. I see smoke propelling that motion, I see your engine humming aloud so that all those skeptics take notice that you have gained that thrust. It doesn’t matter whether you turned-on from the ignition or from the push, all that matters is that a push got you moving. So shall it be for you, in the name of Jesus.
