From the TLDR files: I use a little knife as a key ring holder. Its supposed to be a money clip, but i clip the knife on my pocket and it has a hole I have my key ring through. The screws came out of the clip part a couple weeks ago and I cant clip my keys on my pocket now. My key ring is stupid big and fills up my pocket - which is already full of stuff like tools and fuses and stuff. I decided to get a new knife like the old one but all my searches for it have come up empty except for used ones. The knife is made by Gerber (They also make Fiskar shears for you hairdresser types out there) so I sent them an email asking for help. If you have never worked in customer relations, this is the kind of crap you come into work to because some a-hole had a couple beers and decided to send your company an email. These people deserve respect and admiration for having to put up with this stuff.. From: darrel@gowerprojectsolutions To: gerber.info@gerbergear Subject:Inquiry about Gerber Ridge, fine edge, Part #45874 Sirs, I have a fine edge Ridge (45874) that I have had for probably 15 or 20 years (The truth is, I have had it so long I don’t remember when I got it). I have always used it primarily as a key ring clip and as a small, easy to get to light duty knife. And I really like this knife. Really. Basically, I have my personal key ring (rather large, I admit) through the hole in the bottom and I clip the knife with the key ring on the outside of my right pants pocket and that is how I carry my keys. That is how I have carried my keys for a very long time and I’m a creature of habit so that is how I would like to continue to carry my keys. The problem is this: the two little screws that hold the clip onto the knife came out and so now I can’t clip my keys to my pocket. I do not want to hook my keys to my belt loop because I own an industrial contracting business and since it is mostly a one man show, I am the service man, process consultant, electrician, engineer, hydraulics guy, control technician, welder, pipe fitter, whipping boy, etc. and what I don’t do doesn’t work for me, and what I do do does.
