From the U.S. Department of Labor newsletter: What does work look like for Americas women? In 2013, women employed full time earned about $706 per week — just 82 percent of their male counterparts earnings. About 36 percent of women working full time had children younger than 18. Women were also more likely to earn the minimum wage — or less than their male counterparts. These findings come from a recent Bureau of Labor Statistics report based on the Current Population Survey, a national monthly U.S. Census Bureau survey of approximately 60,000 households.
