From the extreme weather of the Isle of Uist to the warmth of London Sealife. Northern Pontoon successfully competed the installation of a safe floating work platform on the top of the London Sealife Atlantic Tank. Extreme care had to be taken throughout the installation of this project, from the cleanliness of pontoon modules and tools to ensure no aquatic diseases were imported into the tank, and the importance that no items were dropped into the water causing harm to the marine life. Our team installed the pontoon system over a 3 day period, allowing marine life to adjust to the surface of the water being covered. The floating work platform will be in position for approximately 5 weeks for the construction of a new Merlin attraction and access facilities for Sealife staff. On completion our operatives will dismantle the pontoon work platform and sterilise the modules prior to returning to our depot for the next project.
