From the (self) acclaimed author who brought you Frodo Potter (thats me), comes the next huge young teen movie-to-be trilogy: Matriarchy. Book 1: Set in a dystopian future (check) where a ludicrous solution to suppress human nature has been set up where only one male per year is allowed to live (because MEN are the root of all evil!), a seemingly ordinary young teenage (check) male (dangerous choice of character gender!) must face his peers in a merciless trial (check). Book 2: Our strong, gender-stereotype defying protagonist joins a resistance movement to overthrow the Matriarchy. Book 3: Our protagonist finds out that all his male friends have been sent outside the fence of the city to become vampires and werewolves. He allies with them to overthrow the evil matriarchy, and falls in love with a female vampire who looks very pretty and says vacuous things. However, he soon finds out that the vampires are evil (WHO WOULD HAVE KNOWN?!) and kills them all, leaving our hero jaded and emotionally empty inside. Context: I just finished the Divergent series. Ive read THG.
