Alabama now has downed the Dawgs 27 of the last 28 times the teams have met in Tuscaloosa....The bowl picture is starting to take shape, though there is no definitive ealy word for DFW area bowl favorites, especially with the Goodyear Cotton Bowl being an open invitation for the first time since 1941 - the Southwest Conference was the first loop to sign an annual conference champion with a bowl game - seven years before the Rose Bowl inked an annual pact with the Big Ten and then-Western Conference (later Pac-8-10).
