Front & Center Ministries The gospel is often presented with phrases such as: "it will change your life"; "you will be free from (insert whatever pain or negative thing seems appropriate)"; "God has a plan for your life"; "you will discover your purpose and begin to walk in it"; "you can be free from the hurts of your past." I am thankful that most of those phrases are true. But what about people for whom life has been quite good? They have been and are healthy; they have obtained a comfortable degree of wealth; they are progressing in a career they enjoy or have retired after a career they enjoyed and succeeded in; they were raised to be kind and to be good citizens, and they are; there is nothing from their previous years that haunts them or is ruining their present... Is there any gospel for such people for whom the phrase, "it will change your life," does not sound like a good thing?
