Frontmans log: earth date Dec 5th, 2014 I fear the usually reliable Chinese and their snake oil cough syrup have betrayed me. I have downgraded my expectations for this gig day from unbridled enjoyment to hopeful survival. I find some comfort in the fact that in my previous incarnation, I would routinely perform sick, while still smoking and drinking and etc, and kind of pull it off within a 3% margin of error 19 times out of 20. Though I would switch from Jack Daniels and Marlboros to screwdrivers and menthols when I was sick because hey I was just responsible that way. Still, I have to assume the non-drinking non-smoking non-etcing version of myself stands an even better chance. I will still encourage my earthling friends wanting to country-rawk their Friday to come out this evening, as I may require figurative and literal backup. In closing I will say that I regret choosing to status in Star Trek parody form because I never actually watched the show and I have no idea how Kirk ended his captains logs.
