Fuel! The final Frontier these are the voyages of the Big Truck Enterprise . No no this isnt the start of a Star Trek themed trucking show, this is about fuel. Fuel is largest cost for practically all transport operations only second to driver salaries. With fuel costs in decline this is no time to get lackadaisical about keeping costs down. The less you pay for fuel the more cash in your pocket and who doesnt like more cash. So i present you a website to day aimed at helping you pay less for fuel. findfuelstops/ Find Fuel stops is a free service offered to the drivers. It provides you with fuel prices from all of the largest truck stops and even the mom and pop stops. Fuel pricing is crowd sourced for most small stops so this is also a interactive experience. Drivers helping Drivers!! Find fuel stops gives you the ability to have your favorite unlisted fuel stop added to website. You even get to rate the fuel stops!! There is also a feature that will track your mileage and fueling for IFTA reporting. So How does it work? Well its as simple as putting in where you are and where you want to be. Multiple search options are available on everything from if the Fuel Stop has a Truck wash and repair facilities to if they have Medical care and showers available. Once you sign up for the site you can create a full route plan with multiple stops. You can plug in your fuel tank range and your current range to help the program find you fuel stops. Once you plug in all your information the website will route you (Not Necessarily truck routing) And will give you locations you can fuel at and prices if available. Some of the information you will be provided with will be the CPG, The CPG minus that states tax, when the price was last updated and the amount of truck parking spaces if any are available. Using the Website makes it simple to determine where you should fuel. On the route i picked the cheapest fuel for me would be along the I81 corridor so i would fill up there and just buy enough to get me to the next cheapest fuel location if necessary. If you dont want to do a route plan but would like to know does I35 have anything of importance you can go into the interstates menu and pick I35. It will show you what that Highway has in each state it passes through everything from Walmart park areas to little rest areas you may not have know about. There is also a menu for each state and Canadian Provinces that will show information similar to the interstates menu. This is a really easy website to use, I use it every time i route plan and need fuel I highly recommend it. A mobile version is also available @ findfuelstops.mobi/ If you use Findfuelstops or another website tell us what you like about it we may feature your recommendation next time.
