Full of tricks! / The cowbird has shiny black feathers and a brown head. Its call is loud. Its song is not sweet. It is a greedy bird. / The cowbird is lazy, too. It does not build its own nest. It lays each egg in another bird´s nest. The other bird does not know that one egg is not her own. She sits on the cowbird egg along with the rest. / When the eggs hatch, the baby cowbird pushes the other baby birds away. It is strong and gets most of the food. / Farmers do not like cowbirds.
