Fun* Zao fox village Located near the shiroishi mountains theres a small adorable village thats filled with 100 animals with some very special residence. This village has 6 different types of foxes, this is the very famous fox village where foxes freely roam around. Visitors can visit this village of fascinating and culturally deep creatures along with some of their friends. Many who have costed this village said they werent entirely sure what they expected but they were far from disappointed. You pay a small entry fee then 100yen for fox food. There are some rules such as: Dont feed the foxes by hand Dont feed foxes that are in a cage The first half of the village is like a petting zoo with some foxes in cages and others on leashes. Along with foxes theres bunnies, mini horses, and goats you can pet. The main attraction of the village is through a door where all the foxes walk free. There is a lot of foliage, it feels as if your actually in the forest. There are foxes of a variety of colors, some are sleeping, some are exploring, and many will follow you hoping to be feed. There are mini houses and structures for the foxes to have shelter, there is also a shrine with statues and a torii . The admission price to the village was originally 700yen, but the price has gone up to 1000yen due to the sights vast popularity. Foxes play a large part in Japanese mythology and shintoism. their known to be the messenger of inari and some foxes in Shintoism are known to take the shape of a person (commonly a trickful women) commonly a HIGHLY intelligent person. ~ 皇后
