Funding Opportunity: Limerick City & County Council Arts Office - GRANTS UNDER THE ARTS ACT CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS No later than 5 pm, Friday 21st March, 2014 Limerick City Council offers grant funding to amateur, community or voluntary individuals, groups or organisations, which in the opinion of the authority, will stimulate public interest in the arts, promote the knowledge, appreciation and practice of the arts or assist in improving the standards of the arts. In this Act the arts are defined as painting, sculpture, architecture, music, film, drama, dance, literature, design in industry and the fine arts and applied arts generally. The awards can be used for the development of artists, the arts and increasing access and participation in the arts. In 2014 Grants Under the Arts Act will be administered in two funding strands, there will be a further call out in Autumn 2014. Organisations/individuals awarded grant support in this round of funding will not be eligible to apply for the second round. Unsuccessful applicants in this round may re-apply later in the year. Average Grants Under the Arts Act funding ranges from €150 – a max of €1,000. Grants Under the Arts Act 2014 are available to those based in Limerick City. Limerick City & County Council requires successful applicants to acknowledge its grant funding and it is a requirement that the Council is acknowledged on ALL promotional material. Failure to do so may affect future funding to your organisation. Official logo will be provided.
