Funeral For A Home: ==================================== Funeral for a Home Events Funeral for a Home commemorates the slow decline and gradual rebirth of Philadelphia’s housing stock and the lives these homes contain. This year, in collaboration with local residents, Mount Vernon Manor, Inc., Mantua Civic Association, People’s Emergency Center, artists and historians, Temple Contemporary will share the life and passing of a single home in the Mantua community. In the coming months, participating organizations will contribute to a neighborhood history, one which places private reflection within a deeper historical context, with a series of events, including Creative Neighborhood Redevelopment, Wade Into the Wastestream, Vernacular Architecture: A Trolley Tour of Philadelphias’s Historic Rowhomes, and a History of Mantua Walking Tour.
