Funny day. Preparing as best as I can for a skype interview with a world wide overland tour operator, while chipping in with Vinga repairs and helping another sailor friend to shore with a seized engine after 18 days at sea. The one hour interview ended up with a job offer (or the equivalent to join the training program in the UK) after a quality 3 hour interview I did in a carpark with a thunderstorm mid way. Then ended with a party with fresh caught mahi mahi, with the crew of 2 friendly sailing crews who arrived today, a couple of very strong Guinness Export big beers and some late night seared buffalo steaks on fresh baguettes to get my red meat fix. Hmmmm tomorrow we have a moped and a map of the island. Could also be a very good day...
