GAME 3 Hatfield Ice World Mens League Championship series final game. RECAP FROM NHL NETWORK (in case you missed it). Heading into tonights contest, the best of 3 championship series was tied 1-1. The C.C.C.P. boys worked hard tonight and the dedication paid off. Despite early flurries from the opposition, C.C.C.P. was able to weather a penalty kill and proceeded to get the puck to the net early and often, coming out of the 1st period up 3-1. Though the score didnt reflect it, the 2nd period brought increased pressure from the Shockers including extended offensive zone time. Goaltender Mike White stood tall in the cage and turned away a number of point blank shots as the defense clamped down below the dots and blocked a number themselves. A few fortunate bounces resulting from systematic forechecking gave C.C.C.P. a 7-2 lead at the close of the 2nd stanza. The 3rd period was destined to showcase all the Shockers had left in the tank but they couldnt crack C.C.C.P.s defensive system. Mike White turned away 30 of 34 shots and C.C.C.P. added two more insurance goals to seal the victory. C.C.C.P. took the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP of Hatfield Ice Summer League 9-4 in a decisive series clincher! Photos bring you all the exclusive action from our NHL Network cameras.
