Prior to that, last February during the official turnover ceremony of some donations to Torres High, the association was the beneficiary of substantial amount from the west coast Torresians( California)headed by the very effective tandem of JANE R. QUIZON (64) and VIRGILIO QUINTO (64),significant bestowal from MYRNA JANE MARCIAL (63) and PAUL LIRA (57). These amounts formed part of the of donation to the FTHS for the painting of school rooms, installations of iron grills, purchase of welding equipment, piano repair and other miscellaneous assistance to school personnel. DR.PAZ BARTOLOME (54), in her last visit earlier this year, was so impressed with the performance of the CHORALE GROUP that she handed over a cash donation to be used by the said group. In the same token, last July COMMISSIONER LUCENITO TAGLE ( 54), during the first meeting of the incoming new officers, signified his intention to help by an outright cash outlay, that was used to assist a retiring sick teacher.
