GEOLOGICAL COLUMN... Fossils are crucial in identifying and establishing the geological column. The idea of the geological column is identifying the time sequence of geological happenings on earth. Of course, discovering the column of events is not just about stones and rocks. Its about life and the kind of life that lived during those great courses of the events of time. If there existed a geological column somewhere on earth it would be like a pillar of the keeping of the events of time. The idea that stones and rocks can have a story to tell is ancient and proven by the fossil record. There is also the story of the Rock of Ages and the story of the Rock of Darkness. (CHECK OUT THESE ROCKS IN YOUR STRONGS CONCORDANCE. THE SCRIPTURE SAYS: THEIR ROCK IS NOT MY ROCK). Although these descriptions about the ages use the term Rock, be sure you understand that literal rock as in physical thing has no relevance to the Rock of Ages or the Rock of Darkness. Out of the Rock of Ages is said to have flowed water and honey. Out of the Rock of Darkness is said to have flowed light so beautiful that even the most advanced saints nearly found themselves being taken by it. So then the definition of Rock can be quite different and even somewhat diverse from the fossil kind of rock definition. This spiritual kind of rock is an Ancient of Days? kind of Spirit Soul Rock.
