GET THE SILT AND RUBBISH OUT OF THE STREAMS & RIVERS This writer states the obvious and there are echoes in the letters to the newspapers this morning. Anyone living near a stream or river in Christchurch has not been able to understand why the silt hasnt been dredged since the earthquakes. The money thats been spent on various meetings and studies would probably have covered a good part of that cost and saved everyone grief and money. One of the letter writers mentions Sir Geoffry Palmers comment that we have, too many official, too many plans, too little infrastruture, too much wasted money and too little vision. Hes right.
