GFW, LOLTNA, & Wrestle-1 News: - Its said that a lot of the younger talents in TNA are feeling mentally checked out right now. Theres some unhappiness among the talents due to pretty much no shows being booked until early January. All talents are trying to get indie dates & theres apparently not much interest in anyone from Ring of Honor officials, w/ the exception of Eddie Edwards & Samoa Joe. A lot of TNA talents have contacted Jeff Jarrett about Global Force Wrestling bookings but some arent considering GFW an option until they hear that the promotion is actually signing talents and putting on TV tapings. TNA talents are free to work where they want on the indies as long as its not on pay-per-view or iPPV. Theres a feeling that talents under the newer TNA deals are getting possibly $1,000 per month as a base pay, even if theyre not booked, but thats for a minimum three-month period. - TNA & Global Force Wrestling have been in talks with the same TV networks, because very few networks are interested in picking up pro wrestling. TNA actually has the upper-hand over GFW as they are operational, have some history and have stars under contract. Spike TV not renewing TNA may have changed the landscape of the business by making it a lot harder for GFW to get a TV deal. - As noted, Jeff Jarretts Global Force Wrestling will be putting on the January 4th, 2015 New Japan Pro Wrestling WrestleKingdom event from the Tokyo Dome. The PPV is now being listed internally by pay-per-view providers as GFW Presents New Japans WrestleKingdom. The event will air live from Japan with a replay later on January 4th before going into regular replays. Cable distributors have wanted a $24.95 price tag for the event but New Japan charged $35 this year for the same event on iPPV so the price should be somewhere between those two. - Regarding Jim Ross possibly doing commentary, Ross recently said hes had no talks w/ New Japan which is correct. However, Ross has had talks with people from Global Force Wrestling. - It was reported earlier this week that Samoa Joes injury was a shoulder injury but word is that hes dealing w/ rib issue also. Joe was hurt on the first night of tapings in Bethlehem, PA but worked through the week, which made things worse. Joe ended up not going to India for the TNA promotional tour with Kurt Angle. - James Storm & The Great Sanada vs. Tajiri & The Great Muta has been confirmed to be the TNA Bound For Glory main event in Japan. That match likely will not air as the main event on the regular PPV feed here in the United States and in other countries. - There have been fans hoping that more TNA stars will be added to the Bound For Glory card but it doesnt look like thats happening. One fan asked Wrestle-1s Jimmy Suzuki if Bram, Bobby Roode & Austin Aries will be on the card. Suzuki replied with the following: None of 3 will be there. If u wanted sorry. If we succeed there will be next time. *Editor’s Note: BFG looks like shit this year, the whole point of BFG is the BFG series & that is ruined. - TNA is looking at adding The Great Muta to the UK tour in January. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that this is because so many of the talents currently advertised for that tour are not under contract and some may not sign new deals if and when TNA starts offering new contracts when their TV deal is done. - Former WWE announcer Josh Mathews has been working out of TNA headquarters in Nashville & revealed on Twitter that he is working on a new weekly YouTube show with Rockstar Spud. Im With Spud will be released every Wednesday afternoon with Spud giving his thoughts on that nights Impact Wrestling episode. Theres no word yet on when Mathews is debuting on TNA TV. - Wednesdays episode of TNA Impact Wrestling with Havok vs. Knockouts Champion Gail Kim in the main event drew a 0.875 cable rating with 1.097 million viewers. This is up from last weeks 969,000 viewers and 0.81 cable rating. - Wrestle-1s Jimmy Suzuki revealed on Twitter that Jeremy Borash will be the ring announcer for TNA Bound For Glory and Brian Stiffler will be one of the referees. - TNA has announced that Gail Kim is out of action indefinitely due to a separated shoulder suffered during her Knockouts Title loss to Havok on Wednesdays Impact Wrestling. TNA noted that Gail also tore a few ligaments and some cartilage. TNA said there is no timetable for Gails return but based on what was taped when the title change was taped, she will make her return to TV in early November if they stick to the schedule. - Bill $
