GINGER A. For a cough that persists or wants to get lodged in the bronchial area, for weak spinal centers and for the nerves. Sautee lots of fresh ginger root for a long time until very, very soft don’t let it burn or get too brown, though add turmeric, salt and yogurt. Eat with a piece of bread, once a day for three days minimum. B. Ginger nourishes the nerves to allow them to carry more energy. It is helpful in correcting spinal difficulties and the health of the life nerve. C. For chills after childbirth or discomfort during menstruation, sautee onions, garlic and ginger until brown, then add fresh ground black pepper. Mix the above with mung beans and rice. Ginger is a great energy booster. D. For a nosebleed, take 5 drops of sandlewood oil, 15 drops of honey and a little ginger juice and drop into nose. E. Ginger tea is particularly good for menstrual cramps and general fatigue. It gives strength and energy. Boil 4 or 5 slices of fresh ginger root in three cups of water. Add honey to taste and drink. Cardamon may be boiled for extra flavor. It works directly on the fourth vertebra and lower back. It relieves backaches, especially those due to excess. It draws the wind from the spinal column. It is also good for flu and fevers. F. Ginger is a nerve tonic and is brewed in Yogi Tea for that purpose
